Caroline Jones 1938-2022
Caroline Jones was a much loved and appreciated broadcaster on ABC TV and ABC radio. In her early years with ABCTV she was involved in This Day Tonight then Four Corners; she presented Australian Story for 20 Years she talking with people exploring their spirituality as they spoke their souls. These made her a very good listener. She met many famous and significant people – Betty Cuthbert being one but it was often ordinary people from whom she drew her stories.
She wrote her own story The Search for Meaning as well as published the diary she kept during her father’s illness and death
Caroline was involved with of a variety of people of varying backgrounds and needs including Mahboba’s Promise and Afghan refugees. She was committed to Indigenous justice too and a very active and gracious member of a church in Neutral Bay.
She made a wreath each year to represent WRN at the Redfern Anzac day memorial. In the early days she came to many WRN events and gave much grace and support.
