Kay was born in Bowraville, the first of 7 children
After completing her Intermediate Certificate, she left school and worked at Grafton and Bowral. She then joined The Forestry Commission in Macksville before transferring to the Sydney branch, where she worked till retirement in 1992.
For many years she lived at Cammeray but always called Bowraville home.
Kay had a very generous heart who loved her family and the many friends she had made through her busy life. She never forgot birthdays or special occasions, sending cards and small gifts to express her care.
She travelled extensively, both in Australia and overseas, making life-long friends.
As a young girl she played netball and became a passionate supporter of the Balmain Tigers.
Many posters of Elvis Presley decorated her impeccable home. Her garden was her pride and joy. Kay was a perfectionist in everything she did.
Kay was a very spiritual person who loved her Catholic faith was a leading member of her branch of the Catholic Women’s League.
She enjoyed her years with the Women’s Reconciliation Network and admired the dedication and achievement of the members.
