You can be among the first to learn about new research on frontier conflict from Towards Truth at an event hosted by the Ngara Yura Committee of the Judicial Commission of NSW and the Francis Forbes Society for Australian Legal History.
Her Honour Judge Sarah Hopkins from the Ngara Yura Committee will host the session. Jonathon Hunyor, CEO of the Justice and Equity Centre, will give an overview of the background and purpose of the project as a tool for truth-telling. Anna Harding, Project Director of Towards Truth, will show how the law and Government action enabled violence against Aboriginal people as the NSW colony expanded.
